- Preheat oven to 220°C (190°C for fan oven) / 425°F / Gas Mark 7. Grease 12 small patty tins or an 18cm (7″) baking tin with oil or fat. Place in the top shelf of oven until smoking hot.
- Beat the mix in a bowl with 1 medium sized egg and 100ml (7 tablespoons) of cold water until smooth. Add 100ml (7 tablespoons) more of cold water and continue beating.
- Pour batter into tins.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
