STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING MIX:

Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Sugar, Dates (24%) (Dates, Rice Flour), Vegetable Oil (Rapeseed, Palm), Raising Agents: Sodium Bicarbonate, Monocalcium Phosphate, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate; Flavouring.

CARAMEL SAUCE MIX:

Sugar, Thickener: Modified Maize Starch; Whey Powder (Milk), Coconut Oil, Skimmed Milk Powder, Colour: Plain Caramel; Cornflour, Flavouring, Salt, Milk Protein, Stabiliser: Sodium Triphosphate.

BLACK TREACLE:

Cane Molasses, Invert Sugar Syrup.

Preparation Instructions

To Make the Pudding

Preheat the oven at 200°C (180°C Fan, Gas Mark 6) and grease and line a 1lb/450g loaf tin.

Place the sticky toffee pudding mix to a bowl, add the 55g of softened butter, egg, black treacle from sachet and 110ml water and mix with a spoon until all of the mix is moistened.

Spoon the mixture into the greased tin and bake in the centre of the oven for 25 minutes until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and leave to cool slightly before dividing into portions.

When Ready To Serve, Make Up The Sauce

Empty the caramel sauce mix into a measuring jug.

Pour on boiling water straight from the kettle up to the 425ml (3/4 pint) level.

Whisk briskly for 45 seconds until smooth and creamy, then serve over the pudding.
