Chocolate Tart

Ingredients

  • Green’s Crumble Mix
  • 500g/1lb2oz Mixed Dried Fruit including Glacé Cherries
  • 100g/3.5oz Muscavado Sugar
  • 100g/3.5oz Butter
  • Almonds

TO PREPARE THE FRUITY CRUMBLE SLICES:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/gas mark 5.
  2. Make up the Green’s Crumble mix as packet instructions.

TO MAKE THE FILLING:

  1. Place the mixed fruite, sugar and butter in a saucepan and heat gently till the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Stir the mixture and let it cook for 3-4 minutes more until the fruite has plumped and is shiny and glistening.
  3. Set aside.

TO MAKE UP:

  1. Spoon half the crumble mix over the base of a swiss roll tin measuring 23x30cm and lightly press down.
  2. Cover with the fruite.
  3. Scatter the remaining crumble over the fruite and then skprinkle with the flaked almonds.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes till golden brown.
  5. Leave until completely cold and then cut into slices.
