Method

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (190°C for fan oven) / 425°F / Gas Mark 7. Grease 12 small patty tins or an 18cm (7″) baking tin with oil or fat. Place in the top shelf of oven until smoking hot.
  2. Beat the mix in a bowl with 1 medium sized egg and 100ml (7 tablespoons) of cold water until smooth. Add 100ml (7 tablespoons) more of cold water and continue beating.
  3. Pour batter into tins.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
